Frequently Asked Questions:
Can we meet our nannies before she starts working with us?
Typically this isn't possible . Leading up to the birth of your babies, you will be in contact with a senior member of our staff who will be able to provide you with detailed information about the nannies who will be coming into your home and caring for your babies. Our nannies are in constant contact with a supervisor to check in throughout the night and in the morning upon completion of the shift. We also check in regularly with families and welcome feedback. It is this practice that gives us confidence in our nannies and the quality of service we are sending to each family nightly. If for some reason, you feel a nanny that's been assigned to you is not a good fit, we will certainly do our best to find someone more compatible for you.
Will we have the same nanny every night?
Typically we have at least 2 nannies working with each family. This not only allows for more flexibility in your schedule, but also allows for us to provide you with a familiar nanny in the event your scheduled nanny becomes ill. Your first night of service is usually provided by a supervising nanny that will assess yours and the needs of your babies before your nannies start. This allows for a more cohesive team approach from our end so that we can better assist our staff in meeting your individual needs.
What is your cancellation policy?
We
ask for 24 hours notice. We understand that situations arise whereby it may be difficult to provide 24 hours notice, therefore there are no fees incurred for the first 2 cancellations with less than 24 hours notice. Cancellations made with less than 24 hours notice 3 or more times, will incur a charge of 50% of your nightly rate.
What is your policy regarding sick nannies?
All nannies are required to call out if they feel they are getting sick. It is of the utmost importance to us, that we protect the health and safety of your babies. If a nanny is congested, she may work the night wearing a face mask in order to prevent the spread of a potential cold. Anything more severe including a cough of any kind requires a cancellation on our part.
What is your sick policy with regard to sick families or babies?
Because we work with newborns, our staff is vaccinated against Seasonal Flu and H1N1. We ask that sick family members keep a distance from the space we are working in, however we will still provide your scheduled services. Many nannies opt to wear a face mask in order to protect themselves from illness while in your home.
